The Jehovah's Witnesses' New BibleDmitry Rozet Jehovah's WitnessesThe release of the "New World Translation" in a new national language is
always a major event for Jehovah's Witnesses, and the long wait of
Russian Witnesses ended in July of 2001. Now they have a translation of
the New Testament that's specially designed to help them to preach the
unusual Watchtower "gospel" - and Christians must learn to overcome this
new obstacle when sharing the Gospel with them.

The New World Translation and the Deity of Jesus ChristRoger DeLozier Jehovah's WitnessesIn the summer of 2001 the Watchtower Society released a new edition of
the Bible in Russia. It contained the Synodal Version of the Old
Testament plus its own translation of the New Testament, called the "New
World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures" (NWT). Jehovah's
Witnesses in Russia have produced a distinctive Russian-language New
Testament that totally harmonizes with their organization's vision of
truth. Many of the renderings in this translation differ greatly from
those found in other translations of the Bible. Jehovah's Witnesses deny
the deity of Jesus Christ and this translation reflects their theological
position. This article reviews some of the most controversial passages.
(Note: These quotations reflect the renderings of the Russian NWT; the
translations and punctuation of the NWT in English may vary.)

The Devil in the Mirror and Other Christadelphian TheologyRobert C. Hill, ThB. ChristadelphiansOne of their booklets offers this bold challenge: "Is there any religious
body today which adheres to the true and saving teachings of the Bible?
We believe there is! They call themselves The Christadelphians."
In response, this article focuses on the Christadelphian movement's
rejection of the historic Christian doctines of the Trinity, the
sufficiency of Christ for salvation, and a personal devil.

Examining Alternative Medicine: An Inside Look at the Benefits & RisksPaul C. Reisser, M.D., Dale Mabe, D.O., Robert Velarde Alternative MedicineWhat are alternative therapies? There are many answers in circulation,
and they reflect the inherent difficulty of separating definitions from
one's general opinion of this phenomenon. An acute awareness of the role
that power, politics, prejudice, and economics can play in determining
what's considered mainstream medicine has led some authors to describe
alternative therapies in cultural and sociological - rather than medical
- terms.
Given the bewildering array of alternative therapies in the current
marketplace, "scientific reality" should be added to the primary
questions of safety and efficacy when evaluating alternative and
conventional therapies. For example, one should ask: What are the
underlying assumptions of the therapy? Do they make any sense, given what
we have discovered over the past century? If they are true, is it
necessary to revise, or even rewrite, every biology and physiology
textbook?

The Temple of Jesus' Body: John 2:19-22 and the Resurrection RevisitedRobert M. Bowman, Jr. Jehovah's WitnessesIn their efforts to counter the Jehovah's Witness teaching that Jesus was
raised in an immaterial "spirit body," many Christians have appealed to
Jesus' statement in John 2:19 as proof of His physical resurrection.
Recently this argument has been challenged in a book entitled Jehovah's
Witnesses Defended.
Bowman demonstrates that careful study of the text, with due attention to
elementary matters of Greek grammar, leaves no reasonable basis for
adjusting this passage to the Watchtower's teaching.

The Gospel in Seventh-day Adventist PublicationsRoger DeLozier Seventh-day AdventismTo share the Good News with Adventists who haven't grasped and accepted the genuine Gospel in its entirety, we must first show them the truths in God's Word. Some writings by Ellen White and other Adventists can also help us to lead the hesitant to the light of Christ. This article is meant to help Christians to share the Gospel with Adventists who do not understand that salvation is based on faith alone and not on the following the Law.
